R4R toolkit: make the most of R4R results
With the aim of helping cities and regions improve their waste recycling
performances, the R4R project ultimately led to:
- a common method for data comparison (same
scope and definitions, common range of indicators),
- an online tool enabling cities and regions to
compare their results with other European territories,
- and a list of good practices among local
legal, technical, economic and communication instruments that can be
transferred onto other territories.
The R4R partners also developed several guidance documents and reports to facilitate the implementation of those tools: a report on municipal solid waste comparison, a report on R4R partners' data comparison and a summary of the comparison process, a report on local instruments and a report on external factors.
The project results are summarised in guidelines for local and regional authorities.
