R4R Networking Event, 12 December 2012, Athens

The second Regions 4 Recycling (R4R) Networking Event took place in Athens on 12 December 2012.

The event gave the opportunity to Greek regional and local authorities and key stakeholders to exchange views and learn more about waste management activities and good practices in other European Regions.

More specifically the event provided an update of the R4R project, of recycling performances in Europe and of the Greek waste management situation. Sharing experiences via parallel presentations of Greek local authorities and R4R Partners on specific issues such as Pay–As–You–Throw and bio-waste management practices were also addressed.

On 19 December 2012, a press release was disseminated, highlighting the outcomes of the Networking Event.

Pictures of the event have been uploaded on the media section of the R4R website
